Valentine cut outs
Yet another Valentines post. I do love my holidays :-) These are just simple cardboard cut out notes. Not a particularly original idea but I like them and think they are very effective so I thought I would share.
These three are personal jokes so don't make much sense, sorry. If anyone is a Buffy fan they will understand the middle one ;-)

valentines snail mail
Sending some love through the post for Valentines ♡
Made the heart stamps from a pencil eraser, stitched the hearts with embroidery floss, cut out little 'do not open' banners and added vintage seals for a finishing touch :-)

DIY: valentines pins
Everyone is getting prepared for Valentines so I thought I would share what I made for my friends last valentines;

The little packages included a sweet award pin;
and some homemade heart shaped fudge.
The bags were made out of baking paper, but had I owned any, pre-made glassine bags would have been much easier. The award pins are very simple to make, and you could fill the little packages with any sweet treats.

Snail Mail
Few things make me happier than sending snail mail. Below are some hand painted watercolour envelopes I sent out :-)

DIY: Floral Lampshade
Inspired by Aunt Peaches Flower Lampshade, I spent hours attempting to make my own. This is the final result :-)
I made all the flowers using various tutorials and improvisation out of tissue paper, then used a hot glue gun to attach them to a lampshade that I already owned.
Although I prefer Aunt Peaches lamp, I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. It looks especially nice at night when the light shines through the tissue paper.

DIY: 21st timeline booklet
For My sisters 21st birthday I collected 21 photos, one from each year of her life and created a little timeline booklet.
It's quite easy to do, although very time consuming (I hand stitched because sewing machines are my arch nemesis, and I also like the uneven look of hand stitching). I sewed each picture onto some vintage fabric, and placed cardboard between the material to keep it stiff.
