Yesterday I made a super simple little notebook from a vintage postcard to carry around with me and jot down notes. It's pretty basic, all you have to do is fold a postcard in half, cut some paper a tad smaller than the postcard, fold these in half together to make a little booklet and sew this onto the postcard. Easy peasy.

Postcrossing
Postcrossing is a super program that allows you to send and receive postcards from all around the world. It's free to sign up and only costs you the postcard and the postage stamp (and if your'e as obsessed with mail as I am, that won't bother you in the slightest).
I've been a part of postcrossing for a couple of years now and as you can see I have amassed quite a few cards;
So if you're looking for a way to fill your postbox with happiness check it out :-)

A little while ago I re-discovered a suitcase full of cranes that I made years ago when I was younger, which I never got around to stringing up. I intended to send them over to Japan to hang up with the other thousands of cranes, but once I had strung them up I decided that it could wait a few years because they are just too darn colourful and pretty.
They are hanging in my stairwell instead :-)

Vintage Wrapping Paper
I always snap up vintage wrapping paper whenever I see it for cheap. It's always too beautiful to use so I usually just hoard it. I thought I would share some scans for anyone who wanted to print it off and use it for some wrapping.

op shop find
I popped into an oppy (thrift shop) on my way home today and I am so awfully glad I did because look what I found for only $1!!
I have a thing for hideous vintage jumpers and this heads straight to the top of my collection. Now I need it to be cold or to go skiing so I can wear it!
It's hand-stitched in Peru and the little figures are 3D! I am in love!

Thailand
Just a few snapshots from Thailand. The bike in the last photo is an old-school 'fire-engine'. Awesome right?!
